Born in Brooklyn, NY, Paul was first introduced to photography by his step-father at the age of eleven. From that time on he was hooked.  He went on to study at the Rochester Institute of Technology for his BFA and at the Visual Studies Workshop Rochester, NY for his MFA.

His photographs are in major collections such as the Eastman Museum, Rochester, NY, The John Paul Getty Museum, Los Angeles, CA, the Bibliothèque Nationale, Paris, France, and other public and private collections. He lives with his wife Diane Kaiser, also an artist, in Canton, MA.
